Catalina Island Excursion

We set sail from the Bayahibe harbor and headed for Catalina Island. The guides will tell you when it is time to get ready for our first dive at the Catalina Wall! The Catalina Wall is a beautiful dive site. The depth of your dive depends on your certification level, but it is most beautiful, around 12m-18m (40ft-60ft). There are some shallow parts that are great for snorkeling too! Expect to see lots of fish going about their day and gorgeous coral gardens. The guides will point out interesting things along the way.

We will head to the beach for a typical Dominican BBQ lunch with our toes in the sand. Lunch includes rice, pasta, chicken, pork chops, fruit, salad, and bread. This is a great time to share stories with fellow divers and dive guides about what you spotted on the dives! Have a drink at the bar or relax on one of the beach beds, or if you want, you can snorkel off the beach - it's one of the best snorkeling spots in the Dominican Republic!

Saona Island Excursion

Saona Island is probably the most famous attraction in the Dominican Republic, and for a good reason! The dives are world-class, and the beaches are paradise! This excursion is perfect for divers and snorkelers from the Bayahibe, Dominicus, La Romana, Punta Cana, and Bavaro areas. It is a full-day tour that will take you to a wreck dive/snorkel as well as our favorite dive site called Peñon. After the dives, we go have lunch on Saona Island and enjoy some beach time.

Our first stop is the Atlantic Princess. This small wreck is perfect for the first wreck experience for beginner divers. Experienced divers do not have to worry; there is plenty of life and even some wreck penetration to do at this site. The wreck is at 12m (36ft) at its deepest point, so on a clear day, even the snorkelers can enjoy the site.

We will make our way towards Saona Island and do a dive at Peñon (in front of the national park) or Victoria Reef (in front of Saona Island). Both reefs are full of life and shallow. Expect to see a healthy reef and lots of interesting small and medium-sized sea life.

After some relaxing beach time under the Caribbean sun, it is time to visit the Natural Pool. A Saona Island Tour is not complete without a visit to this special place! See the gorgeous Red Cushion Starfish while standing waist-deep on a sandbank in the middle of the National Park. These starfish are real and should be handled with care. Drinks and snacks are served. After a full day in the Caribbean Waters, it is time to head back to Bayahibe. When you get back to the Bayahibe harbor, all you have to do is make your way back to the dive shop; our team will take care of your gear.

We leave with our customized diving boats around 09:00 AM and do two dives with a surface interval in between. All our dives are guided in small groups. We do a 45-50 minute dive, probably a drift dive due to current. During the surface interval, we head to the second dive site (very close by). You don't have to worry about your tank and the equipment; we change your tank and get everything ready for the second dive. You can relax, enjoy the fresh fruit, muffins, and drinks we offer and share your dive stories with the rest of the group.

Parguera & Peñon Diving

La Parguera and Peñon are one of the best dive sites in the Dominican Republic, Peñon is in front of the national park, and La Parguera is in front of Saona Island. It is further away than our local dive sites, but it is very worth it. With the Advanced Open Water certification (or Open Water, depending on how many logged dives you have), you can explore these beautiful dive sites.

We leave with our customized diving boats around 09:00 AM and do two dives with a surface interval in between. All our dives are guided in small groups. We do a 45-50 minute dive, probably a drift dive due to current. During the surface interval, we head to the second dive site (15 minutes by boat). You don't have to worry about your tank and the equipment; we change your tank and get everything ready for the second dive. After the second dive, we head back to the dive center around 02:00/02:30 PM. At the dive center, we can help you with filling out your logbook.

St George Ship Wreck Exploring

We meet at our dive shop, and everybody makes sure they have their equipment, our team will help you get the right gear, and we will load everything on the boat while you meet your dive/snorkel guide and get the dive briefing of the day. This dive site is one of our local dive sites, and it is just 10 minutes by boat. The maximum depth is 40m (120ft). We can either combine the St. George dive with the shallow shipwreck Atlantic Princess or a shallow reef dive site. It is also possible to combine St George with one of the Peñón dive sites.

Drinks and snacks are served on board. After some great dives, it is time to head back to Bayahibe. When you get back to the Bayahibe harbor, all you have to do is make your way back to the dive shop; our team will take care of your gear.

Nearby our dive center, inside the beautiful national park 'Del Este,' you can find the cave 'El Chicho'. You don't have to be cave certified to join us on this adventure! With the Advanced Open Water certification (or Open Water, depending on how many logged dives you have), you are able to do this.

We get ready and go by car to the national park. It is a 15/20 minute ride to the cave. The guys inside the national park help us with the equipment, and we descend and explore the cave. The dive will take in total approximately 40/50 minutes.
